I'm so excited to share this project! I'm all about making nice things out of questionable materials and supplies, and I can't sew to save my life, so this drop cloth bedskirt is right up my alley. I'm in the market for a new quilt/comforter so that will come in due time, but in the meantime, I HAD to change my bedskirt. My sweet mother-in-law gave me a hand-me-down eyelet bedskirt a few years ago just because I needed one and didn't want to go out and buy one--it's pretty but doesn't go to the floor like I'd hoped and it really didn't go perfectly with my quilt. So, until I get my next bed cover, I'm much happier with this simple, yet versatile bedskirt I made.

We have hard working mom on tight budget newly single after three years and very sad needing a remodel bedroom that mom shares with twin 5year old girls, they have a large closet along 1 entire wall and a blow up mattress for mom and a set of bunk beds for girls one wooden dresser and one plastic three shelve plastic dresser. They all love sparkles and dinosaurs and are girly girls for sure. Help me make mom smile again in the 3 girls’s bedroom. on a really tight bills only budget!!

How to Decorate a Room On a Budget and My Miracle Child

I had hoped and prayed to be a Mom one day and after some complications I was told by my doctor that this was not going to happen. Well, after many years of waiting, trying and hoping we were given our miracle child. One of my favorite parts of being a Mom is giving Hunter a room that's special and uniquely his. I'm doing my best to reflect Hunter and his interests as I design and decorate his room. For this section of the room, I build DIY plumbing pipe shelves using wood shelving I purchased at IKEA. This is an easy project that anyone can do! I decorated the shelves with items I've purchased at yard sales, estate sales, flea markets and thrift stores. I haven't used expensive pieces and many of the items were even free, like the desk and the found on the side of the road day bed!

Industrial Shelving Made Easy

We gave our teen son a room makeover with a beautiful planked wall - from wallpaper - and a new desktop made from laminate flooring, and now we just had his shelving left. We bought basic wood lumber, stained and put polyurathane on it, and a few basic parts -- black pipe. It was easy and inexpensive. We hung the pipes from the studs so it's super strong. Big Girl Bedroom Makeover

We started working on our daughter's room immediately after we closed on our house 3 years ago. It began with rust colored shag carpet that was original to the house. We weren’t about to let our then one-year-old baby girl step her cute little baby toes on that gross carpet, so on our way back from closing, we quickly ripped out the carpet before heading back to pack up our old home. Ever since then we've been working little by little to add some girly personality to the room … without going overboard!

A few years back I found an amazing antique twin bed that was in desperate need of repair. My talented step-father was able to re-construct the wood headboard and save the bed for my youngest daughter to use. With thrift store and Craig's List finds like the striped settee ($50), dresser ($60), end table ($15), and little chairs ($30) that I re-habbed, I was also able to put the french-inspired room together for very little. Now my daughter has a sweet and pretty little room to call home.
